How to Send Self Destructing message in Facebook Messenger

Facebook is one of the largest messaging app. It introduces new feature to protect messages called "Secret Conversation" with help of this feature, you can send self deletion "secret message" to your friends. The "Secret Conversation" feature is available only of facebook messenger app and it is not available for desktop or windows phone

How to Activate Secret Conversations in Facebook messenger App?

Step 1: Open your facebook messenger app

Step 2: Click the profile icon

Step 3: Tap on "Secret Conversation"

Step 4: Turn on "Secret Conversation" toggle bar.

Let’s send a "Self Destructing Messages"

Step 1: Go to the chat box and select the contact you wish to send a secret message.

Step 2: Now select the "i" button in the top right corner.

Step 3: When the "i" button is clicked it takes to the messenger profile page of the particular contact.

Step 4: Tap on the "Secret Conversation".

Step 5: The New chat window will open to send the secret message (Self destructing)

Step 6: By default your secret message will be deleted after two minutes. You change deletion time of the message by clicking on timer icon and setting the deletion time interval of the message.

The self destruction time of your message will be initiated once your chat partner viewed your message.
